Tree chipping that clears the brush pile before you have to
Branches and limbs from a removal, a trim or a storm turned into wood chips on site, instead of a heap left in your yard.
The brush pile nobody plans for
Every tree job makes two piles: the logs and the brush. The logs are easy to understand. The brush is the problem, because limbs and branches are bulky, tangled and slow to break down. After a removal, a trim or a storm, the pile of branches can end up looking bigger than the tree did standing.
K&K turns that pile into wood chips on site, using the chipper and the white chip truck that carries the K&K sign. Instead of a heap that sits in the yard waiting to be hauled, the branches are fed through the machine and the volume shrinks to a fraction of what it was.

How chipping works on a job
Limbs are cut to length and fed butt-first into the chipper, where spinning blades reduce them to chips in seconds and throw them into a truck or onto a pile. It is loud, quick work, and it is the reason a crew can leave a yard clear the same afternoon the cutting finishes.
Size sets the limit. A chipper takes branches, not whole trunks, which is why a removal is cut into sections first: the limbs go to the chipper, the heavy trunk wood is handled as wood, and the stump is ground afterward. Each machine does the part of the job it was built for.
Chipping also means fewer trips and less raking. Brush from a trim, a storm or a lot-clearing job can be chipped in the same visit, so there is no pile left to deal with next weekend. John will tell you in the estimate which of your branches the chipper will take.
What happens to the chips
Wood chips are useful, which surprises people. Spread on garden beds, around trees and along paths, they hold moisture, keep weeds down and slowly break down into the soil. If you would like chips kept for your own beds, ask about it when you request the estimate.
If you do not want them, they are cleared with the rest of the debris, and the job ends where it should: with a clean yard. Chipping is part of the same crew's work as removal, trimming and storm cleanup, so one visit can cover the cutting, the chipping and the cleanup.
